On average, trains into New York take an hour and 15 minutes, and trains into Philadelphia take a little less than an hour. Riders always get a seat, and the ride is relatively stress-free. The Trenton Station is the end of the line both for NJ Transit and SEPTA. The Trenton Train Station, just blocks from Mill Hill, services New Jersey Transit from Trenton to New York Penn Station and Trenton to Camden (via the River Line), the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) into Philadelphia, and Amtrak, servicing destinations throughout the country. Mill Hill is in a particularly wonderful location within the city because it is only a 7-minute walk from the Trenton Train Station. Easy weekend destinations include the Hamptons, Vermont’s rural countryside, Martha’s Vineyard, the Poconos, Catskills, and Adirondacks mountain ranges, Cape May, and many other fantastic destinations.Īs a gateway to numerous destinations, Trenton has easy access to major train networks, highway and interstate travel, and international and domestic airports. The Jersey shore is less than an hour away (see “ Playing“).

It is within easy commuting distance of New York and Philadelphia, while Baltimore and Washington are comfortable day trips on AMTRAK or by car.

Trenton is ideally located within the eastern seaboard.
